Eligibility, documents and selection
- Eligibility
- Female students admitted to 2nd year; minimum 75% aggregate in 1st and 2nd semester board exams; gross annual family income up to ₹1,75,000; not receiving another major recurring central or state scholarship.
- Benefit
- ₹12,000 per year, extendable to the end of 3rd year on renewal. First-year amount paid in two half-yearly DBT instalments.
- Documents
- 1st and 2nd semester mark sheets and Class 10/12 certificate; college admission letter and current fee receipt; valid income certificate; proof of identity and domicile; bank passbook or cancelled cheque in the student's name, linked with Aadhaar for DBT.
- Selection
- Screening for completeness and authenticity, then ranking by academic performance and income. A provisional list is followed by a 10-day grievance period before the final list.
- Renewal
- At least 70% aggregate in the 4th semester board exam and at least 75% attendance through 2nd year, with updated fee receipts and mark sheets.
